With news reaching the 2nd XI that Harpenden had held on to beat Welwyn 2-1, the result of this game no longer had any significance for Bar, although Blueharts were keen on a victory to help stave off relegation. Read the 2nd XI match report here.

Bar 1st XI faced an extremely capable Bishops Stortford XI on Saturday. Read the 1st XI match report.

New Rules 2009-10

A new guide for umpires has been produced by EH and is available here as a pdf file. It covers the implications of the new self-pass and five-metre rules in considerable detail.

Junior Hockey

Coaching for Juniors is every Thursday from 7pm at Dame Alice Owen's School. 6 to 14 year olds are welcome and are coached in two groups, Years 3 to 6 and 7 to 10. All sessions run by qualified and CRB checked coaches. No experience of hockey is required and sticks will be provided. More information.
