Potters Bar Mens 2nd XI v Broxbourne 5th XI

After a satisfying win against Royston 3rds the week before, the team were in full spirits coming into this weeks clash against Broxbourne. Defiant not to let the blustery conditions effect their play, it was clear which team were the dominant force. With a lot of attacking play from Bar it was no surprise they were one up before long. Fantastic play from Freddie Waite provided George Nye with an easy finish.
A few minutes on Danny Becker came driving through the middle to the top of the D to hammer a shot home. The half finished 3-0 to Bar with a following goal coming from Andy stokes.
With morale high, the team went into the second half strong, now seeing this game as more of a training session, with the main focus being to gain crucial goal difference on our rivals at the top end of the table.
A very inactive and unphased Dave Summers in goal meant that Bar could occupy the opposition half for the next 35 minutes, against what was now a very much defeated Broxbourne team. Goals in the second half were shared amongst Andrew jones (2), Danny Becker, Jon Yates and Shag to lead Bar to an impressive 8-0 victory.
Final Score: Potters Bar 8 - 0 Broxbourne
