Potters Bar Ladies 3rd XI v Tring 4th XI

Potters Bar ladies 3rd team had another good start to their game against Tring 4's. Tring's team was very much youth orientated and straight from the push back Potters Bar knew they were in for a tough game. Luckily for Potters Bar, Trings young side took a while to settle and a good run and cross from Katy Francis resulted in Chris Field being able to tuck the ball under the on coming goalie for her 3rd of the season and Potters Bar's first of the game.
From the restart Potters Bar passed the ball nicely and made a good few chances and had 3 more attempts on goal before Katie Lane took charge down the right side and unchallenged ran straight into the D and shot right past the Tring goalkeeper into the bottom left corner. 2-0 Potters Bar. Tring then had all of the ball and Potters Bar struggled to cope giving away 3 short corners in quick succession but thanks to some brave keeping by Jenni Harrington Potters Bar survived unbeaten til half time.
The second half started as the first finished, with Potters Bar unable to cope with Trings pushing forward which resulted in Tring scoring their first goal of the match from the right side. Potters Bar then settled down and the game became very evenly matched with both sides creating numerous chances.
15 minutes from the end Potters Bar finally made a break through and a good ball into the D again from Katy Francis allowed Neusha Pirouzi to stop, turn and shoot into the bottom right corner giving Potters Bar back their 2 goal advantage.
A slightly more relaxed Potters Bar team then started to pass the ball around well and created a few more chances but the fighting youth of Tring's team didnt give up and 5minutes from time they scored goal number 2, which made good viewing for the last few minutes but Potters Bar held on to record their 3rd win of the season and a 3-2 victory over Tring 4's.
