Senior and Junior players from Potters Bar Hockey Club celebrate their Clubs First accreditation presentation.

This award is the latest stage in the club's development plan which in just three years has seen the number of senior teams increase from three to six, eight league promotions achieved by the senior teams and the set up of a vibrant junior section.

"Achieving Clubs First is recognition that Potters Bar Hockey Club runs an active, accessible and safe environment for developing junior hockey players. The benefit of this is already evident with a record number of 6 to 15 year olds attending the junior training sessions run by Head Coach, Sarah Withers, at Dame Alice Owen's on Thursdays from 7-8.00pm and Under 12 and Under 14 teams competing in the Herts Junior Hockey Leagues," commented Peter Simmons, Potters Bar Hockey Club Junior Coordinator.

The club is not resting on its laurels. The Men's 1st X1 are top of the England Hockey East League Division 3SW, and are looking to make it five promotions in five years while the other two men's teams and the three ladies teams are also in contention for promotion.
