PB HC Under 11s in the Herts Junior League
November 2009

The Herts Hockey League season for the Potters Bar Under 11s team started at Luton with matches against Luton Town and Southgate 2nd team.

Having played hockey for just over a year the Potters Bar team were much less experienced than their opposition but they put in fantastic performances and more than held their own. They lost 3-0 to Luton Town in their first game and 3-1 to Southgate in the second.

Christopher Pantelli and Caitlin Cresley (goalscorer) ran hard up front, Daniel Leonard was a rock in midfield while Jessica Hawes and Charlotte Caswell made some great tackles and passed well out of defence.

For several of the Potters Bar players these were their first competitive games of hockey and they will have gained great experience from the matches which will stand them in good stead for the remainder of the league season.

The team next play on 29th November against Blueharts (Hitchin) and Broxbourne and we host our first games on 20th December at Dame Alice Owens school against Welwyn Garden City and Southgate.
