| RESULT | Won 5-0 |
Bar turned up without a keeper and Pete Simmons very kindly deputised with excellent result. The match turned out to be a great win with many excellent performances with all performing well.
Stevenage started the match well and would have gone ahead but for some tidy hidden goalkeeping skills from Pete Simmons. Having overcome this start Bar attacked and nearly scored but for a decent save. After 13 minutes the 1st goal was scored by Andrew Foster-Yeow after some excellent build up play, slotting home with aplomb.
Further goals followed with a well taken goal by Dave Fennell and a bullet-like short corner shot by Danny Becker. 3-0 up at half-time and Bar withstood some pressure from Stevenage who should have scored once again, but having failed to do this Bar pressed home with further goals from Adam Pigden and Chris Boyle.
Altogether Bar produced some superb hockey with mentions in dispatches from the Bobby Moore like Nick Tilley at the heart of the defense, Pete Simmons superb in goal, Danny Becker competitive and resourceful in midfield with Andrew Foster-Yeow, Chris Boyle also giving Stevenage a very hard time. Well done to all if not mentioned.
