Another commanding performance from Bar II retains their 100% record but have conceded their first goal of the season.

The game started evenly with pressure being applied by both sides, with passes being intercepted. Bar eventually settled into their rhythm and sneaked the first goal thanks to Chris Edwards who swooped to poach and broke the deadlock.

David Fennell put the second in after a move that showed the best of Bar’s passing, which had not been up to its usual standard for much of the half.

Potters Bar went into Half time two-nil up.

The second half was much like the first with Stevenage getting breakaways but rarely threatening and the Bar holding steady pressure over the opposition.

Adam Pigden eventually made it three by scoring at the second bite of the cherry after the Stevenage keeper had parried his first effort.

Stevenage got one back after Potters Bar conceded a Penalty Flick, the opportunity was converted to bring the score line to 3-1.

The game was not pretty and the players’ frustration boiled over at points in the match, Bar must work on their passing and discipline in future weeks.
