OPPOSITION RESULT |
Winchmore Hill
& Enfield 4 W 4-2 |
| Potters
Bar went one up after about 15 minutes and looked the stronger side. Enfield
& Winchmore Hill equalised through a well struck shot from a short corner
passing Alan Field (Potters Bar keeper) at waist height but dipping to hit
the backboard. Set piece defence clearly needs work! Potters Bar regained the lead just before the interval, but after the break the opposition came back strongly. However, Bar managed to gain the upper hand again and went progressively further ahead including a tremendous solo effort from Liam Frame, who picked up the ball in midfield, went down the left side, got behind the defence and scored. A tremendous goal! Potters Bar
also had a lot of missed chances and could have scored a bucketload! However,
towards the end E&WH started to take advantage of tired legs and put
one in just inside the right post. From then on it was a matter of closing
the opposition down and the matched finished 4-2. Thus Potters Bar start
the new season the way they finished the last - with a win! |
